The Hinsch's have been committed to high quality forage and spoilage has been minimal over the years. Three years ago Scott and Chad Hinsch began using the Silostop 2 step (clear film) technology in their in-ground bunker silos. This is what the Hinsch's had to say about Silostop after using it.

"Before using silo stop we would see some black spoilage on top of the bunker, no matter what we did. With the use of the silo stop, when we uncover the bunker and open it up the silage is as fresh on top as when we initially covered it. Visually, you can not see the difference from a handful of silage pulled on top of the bunker from a handful pulled in the middle of the bunker."

With the use of Silostop the Hinschs have seen similar forage quality and moistures no matter where the sample is taken in the bunker. More consistency in their forages ensures the ration formulated is the ration the cows receive.
