With more than 40 peer-reviewed research papers, Buchneri 40788 is one of the most independently researched bacteria on the market. Stage 2 in silage fermentation technology includes a unique combination of two complementary bacteria, Lactobacillus buchneri 40788 (to improve aerobic stability and feed out through production the production of acetic and propionic acids – potent antifungal compounds) and Pediococcus pentosaceus (to enhance fermentation and cause a rapid decrease in silage pH). Bale Champ, a buffered propionic acid, aids in the preservation of baled hay. Correct use of Bale Champ allows producers to retain more leaves, which account for 70 percent of the protein, 90 percent of the carotene and vitamins, and 65 percent of the digestible energy in standing alfalfa. This retention enables producers to safely bale hay at higher moistures with a decreased risk of spoilage.

BunkLife is a mold inhibitor containing buffered propionic acid designed for use in total mixed rations (TMRs). When used correctly, BunkLife lessens heating and mold growth in the feedbunk, enhances palatability, lessens the amount of feed wasted and maximizes milk production during heat stress.
